I'm loving this "me" time on my day off =]
Woke up later than usual as I lazed on the bed for almost three-quartz of an hour; snuggling under my quilt enjoying the gentle breeze and subtle ray of sunshine entering through my window. This just reminds me of Christmas; how it gets cooler as the year draws to an end, yet how short-lived this joyous season always is.
I spent the afternoon catching up with mum with the latest gossips at work and at play. From the kitchen to the bedroom, from breakfast till dinner. Seemed like it's been a while since I last chat with her.
Time really flew by. Her smile seem to wrinkle a little more, yet through the lines I see a more buoyant and fervid lady who has braved through the many hurdles in her life. I respect and admire all that she is, for she who shaped me to what I am today. It's just heartwarming to hear her laugh and watch her do the little bits of everything with nothing less than all her love.
And Giorgio, we've spent like hours playing and practicing all that I've taught him. From retrieving toys to 'talking', I must say I felt like a proud mother myself. He is absolutely well-behaved; no temper no airs. Sometimes, too naive and obedient for his own good. So much so that I worry for him alot, even though he's such a big boy now. Watching him play and greet me so fervidly just makes me feel so much alive again. All that energy just puts a smile on my face, throwing everything else in the bustling world right to the back of my mind. I'm still amazed at how loyal and forgiving dogs are, proven so by Giorgio too. No matter how little I give to him, he still loves me more than before. I guess it's harder for people who do not have pets to understand this though..
And finally, the evening to spend time for myself, some pampering. . starting from foot soaks, facial masks to long scrub baths. And now, a good time to sit back and digest my fruitful day today and be thankful for that.
I wish I could convert moments like this into a video in my memory, something that I could always retrieve and re-watch these little moments again. These are just gentle reminders I am fortunate to be loved and have loved, and they've formed a very important part of me that will always be remembered. =]

Recently found out a frd's dog passed away due to ageing, Fear, Sadness always comes later and at that point people will always tell themselves not to get any dog in the future but days... months passed, usually a new dog arrived at the house.... :(
So lovely that you enjoy the time spent with Giorgio and enjoy your leave...
