I have been there only once in 1992, when I was only primary 2? I hardly remembered anything about the trip with my parents at all. To me, it was like a whole new experience.

Seriously, it wasn't as fun as going to the Zoo or the Night Safari. Because it's mainly and only on birds. All kinds - large, small, prey, predators, colorful and dull ones.

But this is also the first time I get to the see a real-life ostrich egg! Few of them too. All in a huge hay-liked nest on the sandy ground. Warm enough to incubate the eggs. And the parents, took turns to watch or sit on the eggs. Whenever we walk nearer to the fences, one of them would come over and look at you with one side of the eye, and tries to bend over its long neck to poke you. Lucky for me, I was scared enough to keep a safe distance to watch.

And I actually found pink feathered birds!

The highlights of the excursion :
1) Close encounters with the birds in a large enclosed area. They actually not that afraid of people (or rather, too used to having them around) and we could actually purchase some food to feed them. And when you raise your cup a little higher, they'll all fly to you to eat.

2) The bird show. Parrots fetching and returning dollar bills from the audience; Flamingos walking in circles on stage; birds playing basketball on the mini-table and of course, not forgetting a singing and multilingual speaking bird.
It's really 'hiao' and cute isn't it? Haha. I had a great time watching in awe, wondering how the trainers actually teach them to do such incredible things. Amazing isn't it? And there, this marks the end of the final excursion :)
