My first entry of the year.
But as usual, as succint as can be because I need to read through my work stuff before the official start tomorrow!
A recap of events during the final quarter of 2007.
Final semester of NUS was hectic; overloading 1 extra module that sends my other projects crashing. Made a lot of new friends from exchange; really nice people in fact! Despite the busy schedule, we made time to hang out more than usual as compared to my previous semester. Conflicts and politics were unavoidable, I didnt handle them well but least I survived it. My overall final results were better than previous sem (surprisingly after squeezing that extra module!), and we emerged as the winner for 3M competition. Final semester was a blast actually. ;)
My holidays were really good, spending time with people I cared for and meeting up people whom I haven't seen in a long while. The bond between my friends and I were closer, the relationship in my family were knitted tightly as well. Except that this year, Christmas was really disappointing. I didnt really feel much of the "christmasy" atmosphere. I didnt even put the mistletoe nor the big tree. And sadly, I was broke enough that I didnt get anyone any christmas gift =(
Thank to all of those who cared and doted on me; all the dinner treats, christmas and "work" gifts. I really appreciate and liked them a lot! Which reminds me, I've gone for two job interviews, for one a Secretary post serving directly under a listed-company CEO and CFO. Great environment and benefits, great CEO (he's really niceeee) but there wasn't much growth opportunities. In the end, I settled for the other offer to work in a bank; to service, coordinate and manage clientele base. =) This is when I spent a bomb on getting entire new wardrobe of work clothes, replacing all my schoolgirl plain tees and cute-sie dresses. Thanks for everyone else who got me a little something (be it upfront gift, cash or discounts) for my new life! =)))
And finally, thank everyone who lend me their ears and spent their valuable time with me during my toughest period.
I'll be starting working as of tomorrow (ooO~ so anxious!), I will try my very best to update everything asap! (Queen of procrastination).
Happy new year, people! May 2008 be a smooth sailing year for everyone!
