Just today, I went back to school for project meeting even though it's my freeday today(urgh). And this was another forgetful day again, when I actually leave my house for school without bringing my wallet and keys.
After the project was over, I was super freaking tired and needed to rush home. So I decided to take a cab from Sunset way (halfway of the journey) back home. It was only when we were almost near my place, then I recall that I did not have my wallet with me. I only had $5!
As the cab driver reversed into a parking lot, I told him that I did not have enough money and I needed to go upstairs to get the remaining $1.50. He was quite reluctant, and tried to persuade me to get my mum to bring the money down but she's sick. So I offered to leave something behind so it could least, be like an 'insurance' so that I would not escape without paying. However, he refused my offer so I just gave him my $5 and told him to wait.
I got off and quickly dash to the lift. That stupid lift ah, was really sickening I tell you. Now that the other lift is under construction, we only had one in use. And that stupid one lift is always skiving on the 12th floor for god-knows-why! Everytime when I need to go down or come back, it's always on the 12th. Idling! And it has this absolutely inefficient way of picking people up.
For example, when I'm waiting at my level, say level 8. Before I press the lift, it was at level 1. After I press the button, it goes to the 10th level to pick someone, and goes back down to level 1 before it comes back up to my level! URGGHH! It's so D U H you know? Especially when you're in a hurry! Like today! Stupid lift.
So, it took longer than expected for me to get back down with my money. Almost 6minutes. And when I was back down, the cab is GONE. No where to be found anywhere in the carpark. I even combed the entire carpark to check if he was parking somewhere or what.
I couldn't believe it ok! HE LEFT! How could he doubt my integrity? I was so disappointed. I just didn't want to feel malign (quietly he might be cursing or maligning my integrity lor) for no reason! I have no intention to escape! And I do not believe in such unethical behavior as well!
To make myself feel better, I just emailed the company that I am looking for the driver because of an unpaid fare and I'm going to transfer him that remaining amount via internet banking! Gosh, I can't believe I did that. Anyway, I hope they can identify him asap so I can repay him. Urghhh. . . .

ermmm... it happens to me too... but normally i'll leave my books behind in the car to secure his insecurity tots... cos i understand they oso earning a hard living, i oso understand u too... but sometime we muz think in their position, consider for them... if i'm the driver, watif the passenger not coming bk to return the balance?? ts not their money(cabfare) is wasted, its oso their waiting time ttx wasted too... to think abt it, 5-10 mins or so, they can fetch another passenger nearby & earn another 5bucks or so, u know...
well, my dear gal, u r not wrong too... i believe in u, i reali do, but not to strangers ma... imagine they maybe kena trick for so many times, they esp tighten their security le...
