Heart and mind

The King has left for good and went away to let his life go into waste at his own accord, despite knowing it's stupid decision.

The humble prince has to take over the responsibilites of his father, so as to keep the country in peace. Over all the years, the prince has matured and given support to his people, with all his heart soul and effort to ensure their wellbeing, at all costs. Of all the wars he fought and turbulence he been through, it's all worth it to know that your people are happy and safe. Despite all the hardships, he persevered. It was a difficult journey, and he pulled through it.

One day, the King returned and demands to retrieve his throne back. A rightful authority he regained. He came back, changed the entire system and caused a lot of disruption and unhappiness within the city. Lives were altered and things were never as happy anymore. Men and women were forced into slavery; corruption is everywhere. Law no longer exists, chaos broke loose. He pushed the blame to his son, for every complaint he recieves from the people. His son has to carry the burden of his father's mistakes, just because he has no power or say to do anything.

This did not happen once, but several times. The vicious cycle, of leaving his responsibilites and burden behind to his son, and returning to create a chaotic life for the country every now and then as his wishes. A rightful authority and reign, but is it justifiable to abuse your authority? How long will this continue? What can the poor prince do?

People of the country suffer, with no will to survive nor pull it through in such a corrupted system. Who to blame? The mind tells you who's right and wrong, the heart stops you from removing the bad. Which has a stronger power? Your heart, or your mind?

With no reclaim of his dignity and pride, giving up his freedom and rights, the prince could only suffer in bitter silence. . .

Who can release him from his pain?
