I went out with Xavier first, and joined the rest at suntec. Everywhere was already packed by 9plus. We had to take most route by foot. The cars in the road were practically snailing their way through. By then, they would most likely have to countdown in the car, right smack in the middle of nowhere sandwiched between other sad drivers.
Last year was a nightmare. We were at stupid orchard road with tonnes of ridiculous people with aerosol foam sprays. No, actually, we were STUPID to be at orchard road in the first place. The harmful sprays are actually still available for sale everywhere, but definitely much less in suntec area. I supposed most people would be partying away at PUBs, Sentosa and the new Vivocity, so there is still breathing space whilst at Esplanade, awaiting for the fireworks.
Anjeline & Me. Sociable and eloquent girl, always having a nice smile on her face. We come to share quite alot in common. :)
We spend quite a great deal of time chattering away while waiting, as we were there rather early. A nice bunch of army guys right next to us offered to take a group pic. And this is well taken I must say. It's a good one to replace the old group photos. :)
This is, for the first time in my entire life, witnessing the fireworks l i v e ! I was in a state of euphoria, watching that breathtaking artwork in the sky with people I care about and that it really is beautiful! Almost 80% of the people had their digital cameras and handphones held in the air, seizing this wonderful moment that marks the beginning of a new year.
My camera only managed to take a few blurry ones, so I only put them in the above compilation. Haha. But, i "borrowed" some from Mingjun's website, where he had the best seat at Esplanade, stealing a perfect view to capture the fireworks. Click to enlarge!
It's really is miraculous, isnt' it? I was actually admiring in awe, having my eyes affixed on the black open, trying not to miss a single moment of the vibrant display of fireworks. This special moment lasted about 12-15minutes, but this memory would last me a decade ( I would be lying if i said a lifetime.) :)
Almost immediately, the crowd left right after the fireworks were over. People evacuated the place really quick and only scattering thrash were leftover. This is the total opposite of what happens in orchard! People would hang around for at least an hour or so! (Or stuck even though they desperately want to leave cos it's almost impossible).
We continued our celebration at Kim Seng, for our bowling session again. My stomach wasn't in good shape that night, so I didn't really enjoyed it very much. What a pity. :(
This first picture is to show you the meaning of "extra". It was meant to be a perfect picture, but the guys just popped in to spoil it. Heh. Btw, you see that pin? Kim seng had a special giveaway that night; they were giving out gifts to random lanes who could achieve their target. For example, hit 7 pins or strike. And our dear ChengWei scored a strike and won the mini-pin. It's so cute! Haha. First time I ever lay my hands on a pin. For the whole of our lives, we would never get a chance to touch one unless you work at superbowl or any bowling centres man.
We finished bowling by 3am and we all went out after that. Too tiring. :) I really enjoyed myself once again, all thanks to these people who always bring joy to my life.
