During the day, I actually had a secondary school gathering at Kokhai's place. That nice big guy actually prepared buffet + steamboat lunch for the bunch of us. How nice!
I haven't met all of them for a long, long time! In a funny sense, despite the long time apart, we still manage to find the comfortable good ol' feeling we used to have. I think I talked too much too. haha. The girls had to listen to my boring stories, and the guys couldn't shut their ears even while playing mahjong because I was talking about totally random krap that nobody would want to miss. :P
I had a great time chatting with you girls. Jingfen and I shared a lot of common 'turbulence' in our school, so I hope you can triumph over it reaalll soon! KK and YH is doing well at work, so keep it up! I'm joining you guys in a year's time! Didn't have time to talk to Aili cos I had to leave not long after she's here.
My dearest Corinne! My partner in my secondary 3 and 4 class, and also someone I respect and admire. I'm not fawning and I mean it!
Well, let me talk a little about this girl here. We used to be tablemates; sitting next to each other so we actually have to face each other everyday, whether we like it or not. Initially, I didn't quite enjoy sitting with her because I feel intimidated. Not that she threatens to poke me with her new shaker mechanical pencil, but in the sense that she's a serious and hardworking student and I know she kinda finds it irritating sometimes when I asked too many stupid questions that has already been gone through in class.
She's also a smart student, but she gives herself too much stress that sometimes, she gets disappointed quite easily when she feels she didn't do well enough (which in my eyes, think otherwise!). It is only as time goes by, I've grown to enjoy her company as she slowly opens up to me, accepting my nonsense and sometimes, laughing at my lame jokes. It's really tough to make her laugh you know? Heh.
Apart from her serious side, she's actually a really nice girl. Hard on the outside, soft on the inside. She's always patient in teaching me things I do not understand, giving me leeway when I want to copy her homework, always egging me on when my lousy "ting xie" (chinese spelling) is horrible.
Even in our lab sessions, be it Bio or physics or chemistry, I've always been relying alot of her. Most of the experiments are done by her and all i did was wait for results :P. Wait, let me digress a little. Apart from Corinne, Wai Seng was another goodie two shoes who is always willing to help us dissect rabbits. I'm starting to miss the secondary school days, all the fun and silly stuff. I'll leave it for another entry :)
Back to Corinne. Oh, it was till one day, I felt really bad for making her go against her own principles ( because she is a good student, she does all of her homework so why would she need to copy? In that sense, she shouldn't lend me to copy and she still did.) and guilty if I do not put in effort when someone is there to teach me?
Towards the end of the year, I started to do my homework (still some undone because I don't know how) and really put my heart into memorizing my "ting xie". (maybe you didn't realise it too, Corinne! hehe)I may not have gotten full marks but least I've done my best! Slight improvement!
So, she's part of the reason that kept me going and someone whom I look upon to as my motivation to study. :) Really. If you don't know that Corinne, now you do. It took me years later to tell you this but, I really
thank you!
Meet up again soon :)

A little chill out session at Cancafe during the night with my polyfriends. :)

We coincidentally met Darien and Min at that area too, and decided to be the romantic light bulb of their late night supper at Hongkong Cafe. We had a long chat, a good one. It's been a while since I last met both of them. :) Including today, we would have 3 consecutive weeks of fridays and saturdays out till 3am.
