Exciting match

I don't think I've ever felt more nervous and excitied.

It was the first match of the first knock out round - Germany VS Sweden.

I don't usually bet, as I've always loathe persistent and aggressive gambling. But i do bet $5 for World Cup, just to hype up the excitement. I made a daring bet of guessing an exact scoreline of 2-0.

All because of this World CUp flu, I haven't been going out and shopping for a looongg time. Since day 1, I've been following World cup really close till today. The good thing is, I spend much less money since I'm always at home. Secondly, I get to spend more time with my family as well.

Today, i actually made an arrangement for my boyfriend and few of our friends to enjoy the match together. i always think it would be much more fun to be watching with a bunch of people. At first, we wanted to try THE BALCONY, but the seats were reallly comfortable and what they mainly serve were alcoholic. In the end, we went back to GALILEE & FRIENDS to watch instead.

Although the crowd weren't as many as those during the England match, it was still 90% occupied. BUt i like the people here; most of them were really soccer fanatics. People in supporting jerseys or sporty outfits here to enjoy the game. Cheering and yelling wouldnt be something 'pai seh' for them to do. Cool.

First 10 minutes, Polodoski actually scored two terrific goals. From then, Germany never stopped attacking. My heart went through a series of roller coaster ups and downs man. Whenever the bunch of whites dashed towards the penalty box, I would pray hard that Sweds defenders would just assist their poor Goalkeeper who could have suffered severe heart attack from 184 tries from Ballack, Klose and Polodski. No, not that many but it felt that MANY.

Luckily, the second half wasn't as aggressive anymore. Germans did more defending while the Sweds tried their luck. The penalty was really a mind-boggling time for me. On the whole, the entire match was really exciting, with never-stop-trying Germans and good sports from Sweds. Instead of fooling and screwing up the final moments, the Sweds still tried their best till the 90th minute.

So, yayy! I won $30. Hah..

This is a funny shot. Look at the second one. Did you notice the extra bunny fingers on top of my head and Min's head? We were really puzzled at first, and I was kind startled by it! We later found out that it was two funny people trying to be funny la.. bunch of people sitting behind us. :P
