Removing the wisdom

I dread for this day to come, so much so that I actually postponed my appointment 3 times already! No more time to lose, what's gotta be done, gotta be done.

Today is the day. Had it prepared; informed my mum and she did her preparations to ensure I will be well taken care of again. Cooked a heavy lunch, bought fish for porridge in the evening, brewed some tonic for me to recuperate faster too. :)

This entire experience was horrifying (not to scare those who have not removed their wisdom tooth before). But i must say, it was compensated by my dentist's professionalism. He was experienced and good at it, I didn't feel much pain actually.

It begin with applying a numbing gel on the surface of the gums, followed by several jabs of anesthetic near the affected tooth. I heard horror stories on how sharp and painful the injections were. Thankfully for me, my dentist distracted me by chatting on random topics first and even when he took his syringe, he didn't openly reveal it infront of your eyes to traumatize me. He discretely raised it from below my neck/chin and quickly bring it into my mouth so I couldn't see it at all.

Honestly, i didn't feel a thing at all. I didn't even realized that it was over until he told me!

Completely not what I would expect it to be; I thought it would be so sharp and painful I might jerk in the seat, I might even kick him!

The only part that I really didn't like was when he was trying all his might, exerting all his energy and strength to pull it out of place. It was sooo tightly seated in the gums, I knew it wasn't easy. The pulling, the jerking, the bleeding, all the dentistry jargon exchanged with his assistant, his hands shivering from all the strength he used.... all these was quite a pain to watch.

The first big fat wisdom tooth took, 10-15 minutes.

The second one, looks really tough, was slanted and seem more difficult to remove. True enough, he had to get up from his chair, move around from left to right, right to left again. The nurse had to hold me down, also move around as if they were dancing in harmony. Strangely, despite the level of difficulty, it came out without me knowing at all. I couldn't even feel pressure, unlike the first one.

And that's it! It wasn't as traumatizing as I thought it would be =]
Thank god for a specialist!

Unfortunately, the wound is bleeding profusely even after several hours (from 2pm till now). I wonder when it would stop, because I'm getting hungry already.
