It's been awhile since I had some alone time. Away from work and everybody I know. Woke up as early as 9am (on a non-working day?!) and boyfriend drove me to Bugis.
Just wanted to go to the temple to thank god for many things : -
1)I am back in one piece from my US trip,
2)I am still employed
3)my family and people I care for are healthy and happy
4)Giorgio have recovered from his flea problem
5)Chua loved the surprise that me and A prepared
6)people who used to bully me have been "punished"
and the list goes on.
Then I went to bugis junction to do some window shopping - and it feels kinda good sometimes to look around freely, without feeling guilty of dragging people who aren't interested in what you buy and also, without having people to judge on your choice of purchase. Not that they always do, but it's just some time not to worry about a single thing since you're alone.
I had picked out some choices of dresses for Ben's Wedding (shall buy them as it draws nearer), bought some cute little handmade stickers (women just buy things they like; whether or not they need it) and restock Giorgio's can food. There were many other things I was sooo tempted to buy, but nah, decided that I should be a good girl and save up.
And the best part is, everywhere is nicely decorated, making it feel even more Christmasy! I thought the raindeer carousel was prettiest Christmas ornament this yeaR. Everything in orchard is so candy.. which has totally no link to Christmas. Even the tree outside Paragon isn't that beautiful this year. In the past when the "Best decorated shopping mall" contest is still on, malls like Robinsons & Tanglin mall put in the most effort. Isn't it better that way?
Anyway, that was really short trip downtown though. I went home like by 1pm. Enough for some thinking on the way home, about my job, my friends, my life. :)
