Graduation

Today is my graduation day. I would have imagined, these are probably the things that would flash through my mind as I take that 30 seconds of walk up the stage to shake the hands of the school Dean and collect my scroll.

After so long, I've finally completed my parents' dreams. Probably the best thing I've accomplished in my life.

Not that I'm a fantastic scholar, least it's something that took much effort and pains for me to pull through and graduate. Getting from polytechnic to university wasn't easy; the university journey was a hell of a bumpy ride. From really dry and dull lectures to nasty groupmates, I think I've had my taste of the best and the worst.

Year 1, was all about knowing people all over again. Learning to trust and accept; and failed horribly to spending whole of first year attending 80% of classes alone. It was Matt, San, Henry and Tuck made it a better one. I got to know Erwin in the later part, we spent 90% of the time together since we're taking 5 out of 6 modules together. Little outing trips like supper and airport with Lishan, Cai, Matt and Erwin were the highlight of the holidays.

Year 2 was like crap. I had to juggle most marketing modules myself because many of my groupmates were either here for 'holiday' or taking business modules as an 'interest'. Then came along were Wing and Korin, prolly the only people I remember then.

Final year was a bash. I had the best and worst times. The worst was credited to the one and only XXXXXXX. The one that drained the most energy out of me (and our wallets too!) and to spend like hundreds of dollars. We all had a really hard time getting along, but fortunately, we reaped the benefits of understanding the remaining members better and winning the competition as well.

Thumbs up for my other marketing module. I had the best team mates ever. Although we didn't do the best, I had the most fulfilling time. All thanks to Pei huan, Jotham, Vivien, Vinesh, Vimala and Simon. I really enjoyed this module very much.

Not forgetting the memorable moments studying with my studymates; people whom I really trust and feel comfortable with. Library mugging was seemed like the most draggy period, still, it is a really memorable one. The nights we study and crack jokes, watch the youtube and oggle at people, it was awesome. It wouldn't be that if it wasn't for Alina, San, Matt, Changyu, Eugene, Erwin, MaryJane, Lishan, Cai, etc.

All in all, it's the people that makes your life a better one. Whether its work or school, they meant a great deal to me. Looking back, it was a wonderful journey that marks the end of my schooling days.

Dad and Mum, I've finally made it.
