First day of school : the day I always have to pull myself up from bed. The night before, it took me awhile before I fell asleep. Ok maybe not awhile, it took almost an hour plus. . .
And that resulted in my heavy eyebags and I was super lethargic for 6-hour straight seminar! I was soo sleepy by the afternoon class and I seriously felt really bad about it. Because it was Dr. Wan's class! One I've always enjoyed because he was such a n i c e e e lecturer, soft-spoken and benevolent, always wearing that fatherly smile during class. So glad I was in his class again this time ;)
Just today, I met many familiar faces after a long break. Like Matt, Shiyu, Daniel, Cindy and Deborah. It's always so warm to see your friends again, cos it makes you feel more accepted in a diversed and huge university. :) Oh, even Uncle Eddie makes my day again. From afar, he yelled out "Hey!", even as he was pouring more sauce into a plate of baked salmon pasta. Seeing his big fine grin just makes the expensive cheese sausage feel. . . less costly. Or rather, more worth it too :)
Back in class today, I was telling everyone about this really, really handsome exchange student in my class. You see, I used the word "handsome" instead of "charming" or "cute", which I always use to describe people who look good. So, you know how serious I mean when I say handsome? He looks so much like Tom cruise, but in a neat short haircut, somewhat like what Ryan Seacrest has; and definitely much taller as well. And he is from Germany! I liked his accent very much, little german yet melodious-sounding-american-accent. Urgh! I'm not making much sense anymore. But anyhow, you get it. He really look very handsome, even in his glasses on!
OK, enough of the dreamy-oggling thing.
Apart from the great eye-candy, I made new friends again today. Least people I sincerely feel really comfortable with. It's been 2 and a half year since I make nice friends like them. And that, just make me really happy again! And I'm really lucky, because one of them drove today and I hitched a ride all the way back home! ;)
It's been a pleasant start so far, as long as project doesn't screw up again. :))
