Fridays at Sistina would be a good choice for all; a warm and laudable place for dining with friends and family.
The interior and layout was simple, with white table-cloths and black padded coffee house chairs, and dimly lit opal wall-sconces that gives an overall cosy feel. On top of that, there were romantic italian song pieces played softly in the background, soothing you into ease, completely sending your stress and problems to the milkyway.
The food, was splendid. Thin bacon pizza filled with mozerrella cheese was really crispy, which is much less filling than ordinary pizzas (good for ladies to fill their stomachs with more food! ;] ). Italian porkdogs with penne in tomato and herbs sauce was fragrant and boy, those hotdogs were really tasty! And finally, a large soup of lobster and seafood in onion and tomato base. THIS is the best tomato soup I've ever tried! So good, that I would have licked the plate clean if i had a bag to cover my face ;P (Dinner for two was about $100)
After that, Pete and I went to Essential Brew to chat the night away. With the concept of selling all kinds of tea and sinking into large cushy cushions on the floor, it's another comfy place to chill out. We had a plate of fruits and strawberry icecream, and Pete had the Glutinuous Tea which was said to be very useful for digestion. And I totally agree with that! I went to the toilet three times within the few hours at Essential Brew! :P The ambrosial scent of the tea made it more enticing to drink as compared to the usual blend or worse, bitter tasting tea!
And at Essential Brew, it's definitely affordable for non-working people as well. A good alternative to expensive chilling joints eh? That's all for today! ;)
