5 months old

Little Gio just turned 5 months old! Really big, big boy now. Nonetheless, he's still behaving like a baby. All the time. :)

During this month, Giorgio has learnt table manners - to sit and wait paitently for his food instead of jumping around madly when we are setting his bowl on the floor. A simple "wait" makes sure he stays put before dinner is served.

A really hectic month for me, so I did not have time to train him at all. Whenever I could, I would take him down for 20 minutes walk everyday. A really good reason to make myself burn that extra calories from cheese and chocolates. If I could afford more time, we would go to the big, open field to play and run around; tossing his favorite ball and chasing around. That 10 minutes of sprint makes us both sweat a lot!

After a month of trips downstairs, Giorgio has learnt to "count" correctly, which level to stop and which level belongs to my house. No matter which new route I take him, he could remember his way home effortlessly. I could just unleash him when we arrive at the stairs at the 1st level, and he would dash home straight without making any wrong turns. Sometimes, he would wait for me at the stairs or if he gets impatient, he would come down and 'grumble' at me to move faster. Lol.

When it comes to meeting strangers, he has toned down alot and manage to ignore passerbys unless they bend down and start petting his big stout.

There was once where I brought Gio to an open area where kids were cycling around. 3 kids stopped by, aroused by curiousity of this golden retriever sitting on the bench with its owner. The kids kept asking if they could feed him with branches and leaves, and I gave the same answer of "no" everytime. And one of the boys actually stuffed the branches into Gio's mouth. I wasn't quite happy with that so I decided to leave. As I stood up, the kids began screaming frantically and yelling, " You cannot catch me! Neh neh neh poo poo!". This totally freaked Gio out.. He had no idea how to react to this bunch of weird humans. Luckily, I quickly take him away from the mischievious kids in time. . .

This is the month where Gio was chased by a bigger dog as well. I'm not sure of its breed, but I think its a boxer. Nothing major happened, we managed to sneak away while the boxer was busy sniffing Gio's tail!

And this is also the month where Giorgio dropped two teeth! :)

Alright, I'm really sleepy now. This is a really badly crafted entry.. good night.
