Pre-CNY

The time of the year when every corner of my room is spanking clean and every item in the drawer is packed neatly according to catergories. Even the room smells really good for least, a week. Heh.

1. New "auspicious red" curtains!

3. Matching ribbons for the bed ends.

4. Oriental CNY bedsheet that my mom bought for my brother and I. (Had to keep my unmatching pink comforter :[ )

5. Developed $12 worth of photos just to put up for the new year!

Spring cleaning.

Almost every chinese family would take the effort and time to clean the entire house, thrashing the old stuffs and replacing with new.

As usual, my dad would be spending time putting up chinese deco all around the house. Typically covering the entire living with reds. My mom would be preparing a sumptous dinner, with "Buddha jump over the wall", Fa-cai, drunken prawns, lobsters, broccoli and scallops, steamed grouper fish, etc.. My bro and I will be vacuuming and cleaning the entire house, mainly clearing our dirty rooms. A long 6hour minimum to complete all that. Even Giorgio took his aroma bath today.

Dinner with my 2nd and 3rd aunt came over for reunion dinner with us this year. Definitely a conivival dinner this time round. With all the fun and laughter, my aunts shared their childhood stories that revive the old times while we had a good time recollecting our own past as well.

It's pretty late now. Time to go to bed. Early morning bai nian tomorrow! Haha, abrupt end again. :p
