I heard about the news about Seng Liang only on friday morning, when I met Cai. I saw it in his eyes; all that he was about to tell me seemed to be revealed even before he spoke of it.
Not that I know SengLiang personally, but I've seen him around many times in school, hanging out with few of the people I know. I did feel quite taken aback when I first heard it, the sadness fills in only after I read a full-page article on the chinese newspaper.
Apart from the bizAd activities that he's always been actively involved in, he has been doing well in representing NUS for several soccer tornaments (or so I heard). And all that I read about him from my friend's blog, he's a really amiable person.
He was only 22, a talented and cordial leader, an ambitious and hardworking student, a fun-loving friend and filial son. How is this vindicated when with no good reason, a healthy and happy person is taken away, leaving his loved ones behind?
For no reason or rhyme, a random grope or deliberate decision.
It's god's will.
May he be in peace..
may people who cared for him have strength to move on,
wash away the pain and leaving only the fondest memories in their hearts.
