I slept at 3.30am the night before, just like everyone else who did "shou ye". Was msn-ing a few other friends online to keep each other awake.
The next morning, as usual, my dad would be the first to wake up and play his favorite chinese new year CD. In the past, I used to find it quite irritating but as the years passed, I thought it was a good effort to set us in the cheery mood for the new year!
A good start this year; everyone in the family left the house in good mood. We went visiting at my grandma's place first and proceeded to Xav's house and other relatives' house throughout the day. With more than 10 siblings, I've got more than enough places to go every year, which takes up at least 4 days to complete.
