Only till today, I just realised that there are many words that we singaporeans commonly use that I don't understand. That includes common malay and dialect slangs. And foods in other languages.
Girls, ever feel piqued when you have no clue what your guy friends mean when they talk about their army stories (a common topic that ALL guys talk about even to new male counterparts they've just met. Perfect ice-breaker.). Things like "attend c", "change parade", "grandfather's army" and even the favourite vulgar word "CB" can be found.
Amazing?
What's more, common phrases we use like "your head", "Arbaden" and "Chia lat" is inside.
