Teck's 22nd Birthday

Shit. I'm supposed to be studying but I didnt!

Been very tired due to past few days of tiring work. Went to gym yesterday, thought I could drain out the stress and fatigue. But it just got worse today. Totally unproductive. Next week's my 3 midterms and I'm stil struggling. How I wish I had that strong self discipline to study man.

Finally, got myself to do something i always wanted to do. Gonna upload teck's bday photos and maybe, my portfolio ones if i have time after this entry.

My pretty straw bag from thailand ;)

Teck's birthday was last week, not many of our usual people turned up.

Work, school, stress, penniless..

Quite sad actually, because the birthday trend kinda broke after ... 5 years? I felt kinda bad, because I was the priviledged one to recieve the last birthday party. Of this entire 2006 till now, to me, my birthday was the happiest. [The only pity that day was that Cindy wasn't there :( ]

Partly because everyone put in extra more moolahs just to buy me an armani sweater. The most expensive one (favourite too!) compared to previous years. But more importantly, because almost everyone turned up. It's really, really difficult to get 80% of attendance and we did. It would be best, if Raine, Sarah, Ari, Elise, Xh + Edmund could be there too. (I'm not licking anyone's boots lar. It really from the bottom of my heart okay). Well, i may not be close to every single person in the group, but it feels happier to have the entire 'family' around. You get what I mean?

And it was a really happy moment, because all of us seemed happy (at least to me, i felt really happy). We had fun at dinner, no one had to worry about its costs, we had loads and loads of fun during the bowling competition. It was that very bowling session, that sparked the interest in all of us. It is also a universal sport, that most of us actually enjoy. No one left too early.. so it was perfect.

Crazy moments

But after my birthday, the entire birthday thing seemed dead. Not everyone is enthusiastic about celebrating for one another anymore, not everyone is turning up and staying late, no one bothered about the present ( ok but that's the minor part of it). The point is, it kinda become more like a "its your birthday so I'm coming for the sake of coming".

Yes, i agree the thing about "you xing jiu hao" ( have heart or sincerity is enough), so present don't buy also nevermind. But its about the thought, about being eager to buy or make somethign if we're under budget. Or, the eagerness to turn up, think about plans and where to go. The spending quality time (doesnt mean spending QUANTITY time) together.

I'm not pin pointing anyone, just a general feeling I have. I just hope this will go away after the guys ORD-ed, and everyone is less stress from work or school.

It's no use if I was the only one enthu ma. Right? I can't possibly plan and organize for everyone's birthday. I need to plan for places, programs, buy gifts, mass sms location, mass sms present sharing, collecting money. It's not an easy task. I'm so thankful that teck did a wonderful job just to get my birthday so well prepared but I couldn't do much, in fact, do ANYTHING for him.

Sigh. Not like I'm going to force you all to do this, but just hope you all can try to organize your time and spare a little for our group of friends ba :)

Have been sooo into fishing and camping lately. If i could, I'm gonna go camping every saturday! But cannot la. Mid terms and project so packed, I can't camp overnight. So it's quite pointless afterall.
