Life is good

30th April, Sunday

I've been living life like a whole new person since the horrifying exams are over. Nothing beats the triple "S" - Sleep like there's no tomorrow, Slack through the day and Supper till we have bulging tummies. (Sorry TLM, i know you've got last paper coming up. You're so gonna smell the air of freedom soon dude)

I spent the entire weekend with my parents, relaxing and bitching about what's hot on the taiwan entertainment news. Went for superb dinners and tasting Escargots for the first time in my life. I don't understand why they are categorized as delicacies. The smell of butter and garlic is really tantalizing but the moment you put that squishy-squashy soft little animal in your mouth, you can feel it squirming and rolling around your tongue. This is definitely the tastiest food you'd ever have if you're on Fear Factor. But the feel of it sucks. I've tried it once and thats it.

It's disgusting.

My weekends? I haven't been a good girl for a long, long time. Stayed home to pack my room, do lots of cleaning and vacuuming in the house, removing spider webs off my window, washing the grungy toilet and finally changed the bedsheets. Look at it now. NEAT :)

My reward of mani and pedi. French ones.

Look at the chart. I'm ANTZ. Topping the table at soaring 132 is definitely an ego boost for little me. I'm still unable to keep that score consistent but I am gonna master it soon. (That's how I ended up bugging my parents to go bowling with me on a Sunday midnight. )

2nd May, Tuesday

Brilliantly colored people at Takashimaya. Little introduction of my gang in Uni. From left, we have ALS, just Lishan. A poised and intelligent lady from Law. Have never imagined to know friends from there. She's no geek I tell you. She's one hot, spontaneous and fun to hang-out with khaki. Ask her for Mahjong, bowling, clubbing, cuppa coffee or a heart to heart chat, she's on for everything. Great sport, she is. Absolutely admired her air of elegance.

Next to her is Caiz, a.k.a Caiz Tao Kway. He's in the Singapore Sailor's club. He's absolute up for grabs if you wonder. Wicked sense of humour but a heart of gold, He's really nice friend to have, always there to make friends around him laugh.

Beside me, we have my buddy Erwin. He is the perfect definition of the word "NICE". He clears plates for everyone, never fails to be there for his friends, always says hi to everyone he sees, and the number of friends he has is definitely more than yours. Everywhere he goes, be it in any faculty in NUS, in Orchard road, in some ulu palia market, or even ZOUK, he would definitely meet SOMEONE. He's too soft hearted he gets taken advantage of too easily. Geez.

Beside Erwin, we have Jeremy, a.k.a Tin Tin. I always think he resembles the cartoon character Tintin. Remember the little face, freckled-cheek and twirly standing fringe boy with a white schnauzer called Snowy? Yeah. Tin Tin. He's really cute and check out his Mamboo moves. Up for grabs too.

Lastly, we have Belmont. He's slightly more reserved than the others. But when he makes the funny faces, it'll trigger ALS's non-stop laughter. Belmont is really talented, he plays guitar with Erwin in some band. And he actually remembers the whole Cadbury commercial song!

Well, these people are not exactly my gang actually. We're all part of Erwin and Mj's entourage. We'll split the Erwincian and Mjcian some other day.

Tiny cup with giant Erwin. He was so amused about the tiny cup that comes along with a nice teapot when he ordered English tea at Breadtalk Transit.

They look so cute. Caiz' always full of funny facial expressions. Oh, the purpose of meeting up today is because it was ALS's and Jeremy's last paper today.

3rd May, Wednesday

Erwin at Crystal Jade

Jan & Lishan (ALS)

This is the second day in a row we met in Orchard to eat ALS's favourite Crystal Jade again. By the way, today is Terence's early birthday celebration at Changi Chalet. It was such a pity we didnt take pictures thereafter because we totally forgot about it once I was hooked on American Idol at his chalet.

It was quite frustrating actually, cos I couldn't hear the singing very clearly since everyone else was making alot of noise. But i couldnt turn up the volume too much so I had to sit really near the TV man. Thanks to Erwin & Caiz, for asking whether I could switch channel so I could catch AI5.

I felt bad after watching AI5 that I didnt help out much. SO i was enthusiatically looking for ANYTHING to do to help. I cleared thrash, wipped tables, served drinks to er... Caiz and Erwin, helped cooking last batch of BBQ food with Terence. ALL that kinda eased my guilty-conscious a hell lot more.

It's Wednesday and everyone was pretty excited cos this would be the first Mambo after such a long while during exam periods. Terence and his friends couldn't resist its call as well, so decided to join the rest of us at Zouk afterall.

It was quite fun actually, cos it's been a year ago since I last went clubbing I think. ( Was it?) Mambo was really happening, Phuture (or future. dont know how to spell that la. I didnt see carefully.) was super packed with NUS people. Everyone was having a hell of a good time except for me and Erwin. Long story. Shan't talk about it.

IN short, we spent 2 hours +++ searching for our friends as most of them kinda split up and joined their other friends. All that SMS and calling is really frustrating. I was really tired and sianz by then, and I couldnt' stay too late for supper, so I went home myself first. Damn shagged man. Bones have hardened. I need to catch up with the new century dance moves.

4th May, Thursday

I think we're really crazy people evolving into nocturnal creatures who refused to rest at night. 5 of us decided to meet up for really late supper lastnight. We had to wait for Erwin to finish his guitar practise at 11, wait for ALS to end her side at Terence's chalet for 2nd day. I was almost falling asleep by 10pm..but Matt is really good at persuading man..I decided to go in the end too.

We spent an hour searching for Siglap and decided to go Bedok to eat "Ba chor Mee" instead. ALS was damn funny lar. I was pointing at the mini-minced meat and asked Caiz,

J: " Which is a 'Ba Chor' ah?"

C: " Ba chor is minced meat lor. See the tiny pieces of meat?"

J: "Orh.. Eh then what do you call the meatballs in chinese dialect?"

C: "....hmm.. Ba... something"

ALS: " Fishballs....so.. BA BALL lor."

J: " Cannot be lah! "

ALS: " Eh...no no. I know I know what is it!"

C, J, Others :" What?"

ALS: " BA KUE lor!! LOL!!"

Wah, that really rocks man. I couldnt stop laughing. Ba KUE as in , ball in hokkien. She's damn imaginative man.

As nocturnal animals are still bored at 1.15am, they've decided to adjourn to Changi Airport for TCC desserts. But to Matt's disappointment, it was closed. Terminal 2 was remotely filled with emptiness. No one's around. So quiet. We ended up sitting at the Viewing the "viewing the mall" mall to chat. Caiz called it "Viewing the viewing mall" because we could only see people in another cafe who could view the planes. We couldnt see the planes directly from the Viewing mall itself. OK, I dont think anyone can understand what I was saying.

Art of relaxing

Thank me. I think I take a pretty good photograph of these classy people chilling in the airport in berms and 3-quarts. They look so natural, and definitely happy.

Caiz is forever doing the 'cute' stuff

Everybody loves Erwin

It's blardee 3am in the mrn and we're still taking photos in the airport.

Looking back

As we were about to walk to Mac for dessert, Erwin and Matt were 2 si-gee-nahs who were fooling around the luggage trolley, pushing one another at 90km/hr. Ok not that fast, but its enough to trip and fall ( as expected) and Matt had a deep, deep cut in his left foot. I dont want to be such a sadist to post disgusting bloody photos of it, if you want, do contact Matt.

Poor Erwin felt so guilty about the entire thing, decided to accompany Matt to see the doc while the rest of us went home. He had to stitch up his foot and rest. I slept at alsmot 5am. What about Matt and Erwin?

10am this morning.

Ha. Sorry people, couldnt stay up with you all. Get well soon, pal. :)

Gonna go for Lindy's birthday tonight. Catch ya people again.
