22nd Birthday: With Xavier

On the actual day, I would normally celebrate it with boyfriend and family. But this year, my mum decided that I'm old enough not to have a mini-party and cakecutting session anymore. Aye.

I spent the afternoon slacking at home, surfing the internet. Chilling. By the end of the 3 month vacation, I'm sure I'm gonna change into thicker glasses. Too much TV and surfing of internet is bad, hear that kids?

You know what I really hated about being myopic? In the night, when you are just about to sleep, you tend to imagine things. On times during the happy thoughts, you can imagine about living a life of a princess. On times when you think about eerie stuff, well, like how Sadako climbed out of tv, how long-hair 'ladies' in white, standing at the edge of your room, all THAT becomes so real. When you are myopic, you'll see things you don't wish to see (even though they might not even be there). It's dark in the room, it's blurry, you think you see it, the more you think about it, the more you feel it, the more it scares yourself.

Urgh.

Back to my birthday, my boy came to pick me up at about 5.30pm and we dropped by Bugis to shop around first. He bought his shoes and we're done.

My first surprise: Opening his car-boot.

Next, dinner at a least expected place. Well, we've have had dinners at the famous restaurants around town. This is the first time, we'll be dining in a hotel. *Ecstatic!*

Welcome to Oscars, CONRAD HOTEL!

Interior of Oscars

It's entirely buffet style, eat all you can. There really are a lot of variety of food; from east to west, appetizers to range of desserts. Everything looked delicious. I really hated the fact that my food intake is seriously limited. Nevertheless, I tried my best to eat a little of everything~! It's really tough to just eat a littleok. When you find something really delicious, you'll definitely want more of it. Urgh. I ended up eating too much of main course food and compromised so much on the desserts! :`(

Birthday complemetary from Conrad!
Having the entire crew sing a birthday song for you is really embarrassing. The manager actually told me "Congratulations". I wonder why.

After our fantastic dinner, we were supposed to go on board the Hot air balloon by DHL! But we were running late for the movie. So we had to skip that. :/

We went to watch POSEIDON. Erm, nothing much to comment. Nothing really fascinating or interesting.

My Rate: 6.0/10
IMDB rate: 5.6/10

Yikes. I had a much higher rating than IMDB. I dont' really have high expectations for movies I guess.

Yayy. Nice birthday this year. *happy!*
